Third-party Events Raise Over $30,000!

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015

In just a few short weeks, we’ve received over $30,000 from our amazing third-party donors! The Bass River Tennis Club started us off with a fabulous tennis tournament that netted the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund over $8,000. Then the Pingree Girls’ Hockey Team held a benefit game and raised $2500! Next came the Reading High School Volleyball team. They raised $300! The Women’s Committee of the Meadow Brook Golf Club held their 5th Annual benefit bringing us $13,200! Shortly after, the Sharon Country Club held their 7th Annual golf tournament and raised just under $6,000! We’re looking forward to the September 13th Friends of Reading 8th Annual Tennis Tournament! It’s not only fun, it’s hugely successful!

We are incredibly grateful to all of our third-party donors for their ongoing commitment and generosity.

If you’d like to run a benefit for the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund, let us know! We can supply brochures and goodies for your gift bags! One hundred percent of all money raised goes directly to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. We do not take a penny of your donation for our fundraising or administrative purposes!

Third-Party Fundraising Wrap-Up

Friday, October 26th, 2012

What a year!  Our third-party fundraisers have donated over $33,000 to the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund this year, alone!

What’s a third-party fundraiser, you ask?  It’s an organization, outside of our fund, that plans an event for the sole purpose of raising money for us.  For example, the Sharon Country Club, the Meadow Brook Golf Club and the Salem Country Club all hosted golf tournaments and sent the proceeds to us.  The Bass River Tennis club hosted a Ladies’ Night Out tennis tournament to benefit our fund and the Friends of Reading held their 4th Annual ESSCO-MGH tournament and gave us the proceeds.

And there’s more.  This year, Mrs. Mugs – a great store in Sandwich, MA, – raised money for us from the proceeds of their Booby Buoys sales!  A group of women from Stow, MA, ran their 2nd Annual Stow Women’s Walk for us, and Ernst & Young sponsored a Jean’s Day.  Coming up, the Neponset Cafe in Canton, MA, will hold it’s annual Chili Contest for our benefit on November 17th.  We also have Didi Fisher Weinreb designing, producing and selling her GAMESETCURE T-Shirts to benefit the fund.  Get yours by emailing Didi @Didiweinreb@gmail.com.

If you’re interested in running a third-party fundraiser for us, please contact Missy at mcfyffe1@comcast.net, so she can send you goodies for your gift bags and arrange to publicize your event on facebook and on our webpage.  With your help, we can cure breast cancer one third-party benefit at a time.
